Protection of biodiversity in forest areas, including the Natura 2000 network - Promotion of best practices



The project is carried out by the Forest Research Institute in Sękocin Stary. The hermit beetle is an important flagship species. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the species has decreased all over its distribution range. The major aim of this project is to assess the current status of the population o hermit beetles in Poland. All actions in the project focus of the study new technique to save growing phase and description method succor population in polish forest.
